Councils will be asked to ‘take strong action’ against care homes that ignore new restrictions on movement as part of the Government’s winter plan for the sector.
Published today, the plan will stop all but ‘essential’ movement of staff between care homes to prevent the spread of the disease during the expected winter surge in cases.
