Government struggling to implement Spending Review - report

Town hall powers to bring forward council tax rises to tackle Britain’s social care crisis ‘may prove insufficient,’ an authoritative new study has warned.

Data analysis published jointly by the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) and the Institute for Government (IfG) today concluded Whitehall was ‘struggling to successfully implement the 2015 Spending Review’.
