Housing scandals ‘embarrassment to sector’

Scandals that rocked the social housing sector spurred councils nationwide to reflect on their own performance, MPs have been told.

Poor living conditions uncovered by the media at councils such as Croydon LBC throughout last year prompted action across local government, the Levelling Up, Housing and Communities Committee heard yesterday.
