Improvements demanded by review of troubled project

A review of a troubled IT programme across two councils has demanded improved governance and accountability within complex contracts.

The joint review of the Best4Business programme across Cheshire West & Chester and Cheshire East councils - a major, cloud-based project allowing the two authorities to share IT, HR, payroll and other core functions - concluded that key problems experienced within the project were avoidable.
