Javid intensifies child sexual abuse response

Home secretary Sajid Javid has said he will not tolerate ‘no-go areas’ or ‘cultural sensitivities’ as he intensifies the UK’s response to child sexual abuse.

In a speech today, Mr Javid referred to political and cultural sensitivities which, critics claim, prevented the early exposure of grooming gangs across council areas such as Rochdale, Rotherham and Newcastle.
