Judge rules on controversial asylum hotel

The Home Office must consider alternatives to a controversial asylum hotel in Brighton & Hove's boundaries in which officials placed an unaccompanied nine-year-old, a judge has ordered.

Brighton & Hove City Council’s application for an injunction preventing the Home Office from reusing the controversial hotel – from which scores of young asylum seekers have reportedly gone missing – was last week delayed until later this month.
