KPMG criticised for rejecting Northamptonshire public interest report pressure

Northamptonshire CC’s commissioners have criticised the council’s former auditors for deciding not to issue a rare public interest report.

The county became the first council to issue a Section 114 notice for 20 years in 2018, prompting the arrival of two government-appointed commissioners led by former Lincolnshire CC chief executive Tony McArdle.
