LEPs face Government action if they ignore framework

The Government has threatened to withhold or withdraw funding and responsibilities from local enterprise partnerships (LEPs) that fail to comply with a new framework.

Under the national local growth assurance framework, published last week, LEPs will have to openly advertise and hold an annual meeting that is open to the public, and publish conflict of interest, complaints and whistleblowing policies.
