Lancashire deficit to reach £79m

The financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has left Lancashire CC facing a deficit of £79.3m by 2023/24.

Lancashire's deficit has been put down largely to reduced income and increased costs due to the coronavirus crisis, in addition to increases in the national living wage and a higher than budgeted pay award.
