Leader denies ‘witch-hunt’ to slash senior management roles

Lancashire CC’s leader has denied claims his plan to slash senior management posts was linked to his arrest as part of an ongoing police investigation.

Speaking to The MJ, Cllr Geoff Driver, said his Conservative regime would reprise plans to reduce the number of senior managers at County Hall despite being forced to withdraw it from discussion at a recent council meeting following legal advice.
