Leisure outsourcer asks staff to take 'career break'

A major leisure services outsourcer has come under fire for asking staff to take ‘unpaid career breaks’.

The Unite trade union has said Greenwich Leisure Ltd (GLL), a social enterprise that runs leisure centres and libraries for dozens of local authorities, has written to employees inviting them to take an ‘unpaid career break’ until at least April.
