Morgan's education review 'business as usual'

A new government consultation into the role of councils in education and child safeguarding has been met with scepticism by two key local government figures. 

In her last act as education secretary yesterday, Nicky Morgan insisted local authorities had a ‘vital role’ to play and called on the sector to submit evidence to a new review into her controversial education white paper.
