Ombudsman warns over council buck-passing

Councils have been warned against ‘passing the buck’ in cross-border child protection cases by the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman.

The move follows an investigation that found a suicidal teenager in Kent was left without appropriate support when she reported serious sexual abuse that had occurred while she lived in Croydon.
