Pensions chairman surprised at preparedness findings

The chairman of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) advisory board has expressed surprise at a survey that found most funds unprepared for a major change.

LGPS funds expect to have to implement climate-related financial disclosure rules based on reporting guidelines from an international taskforce after chancellor Rishi Sunak announced the UK’s intention to make them mandatory across the economy by 2025.
