Scottish councils may be required to assess the condition of private rented accommodation under a proposed law.
The wide-ranging Housing (Scotland) Bill, which was published yesterday, will reform provisions for people threatened with homelessness up to six months ahead – requiring tribunals and sheriff courts to consider the timing of eviction notices.
