Scotland to ease cross-border placements

The Scottish Government has proposed removing legal hurdles for cross-border placements of children by English councils.

Its proposal would recognise deprivation of liberty orders made by the High Court in England and Wales, removing the current need to apply separately to courts in Scotland.
