Scrutiny highlighted in Edinburgh review

A review into Edinburgh City Council’s former property service has highlighted the importance of an overview and scrutiny process.

The poor management of the council’s property conservation service, which closed April 2011, affected many property owners, with 986 complaints, £30m unbilled work and £7.8m suspended debt.
