Since becoming the Chair of the Association of County Chief Executives’ (ACCE) I have engaged with my colleagues about what they want to see from the organisation.
A clear message from these discussions was to build on the progress the organisation has made in working with the County Councils’ Network (CCN) to enhance our reach within Whitehall on the big issues facing counties. Equally, they wanted to improve collaboration, both within ACCE itself, but also with other representative bodies.
