Slough to appoint interim as chief

Slough BC is set to approve the permanent appointment of its interim chief executive despite fresh objections from senior councillors.

Labour-controlled Slough held a meeting of its appointments sub-committee on 30 October, after which the panel’s chair and leader of the council, Cllr Sohail Munawar, indicated that Roger Parkin remained his preferred choice as chief executive.
