Suez has picked up one of the largest waste contracts in the country after being named as preferred bidder for Somerset Waste Partnership’s overhaul of collections.
The contract, which is worth £210m over 10 years with the option of a 10-year extension, will lead to Suez operating new vehicles from refurbished depots, extending the type of materials that can be recycled.
