Transformation can still yield more savings, claims mandarin

Further transformation may still help councils make savings in children’s services, a top Department for Education (DfE) civil servant has claimed.

Director of children’s social care at the DfE, Graham Archer, said the department’s Spending Review bid for more cash from the Treasury would take into account the fact that civil servants believe more savings can be made through transformation.
