Uncertainty over rates rebate risk

More uncertainty has been heaped on councils after it emerged they could be hit by a £481m business rates rebate for the office sector.

About 150,000 firms have appealed their business rate bills after they were charged the tax as normal despite the Government urging people to work from home.
