Viridor reaps rewards from recycling and waste treatment

Lucrative recycling and waste contracts at Viridor have driven up profits for its parent company Pennon Group.

Underlying profits before tax in the rose 0.8% to £143.7m in the first half of 2019/20, but revenue decreased from £746.7m to £712.4m compared the same period last year.
