Welsh plea for more council funding

Welsh councils have pleaded for more funding from the UK Government as they face up to £750m of pressures in 2024-25 alone.

The Welsh Local Government Association (WLGA) blamed ‘spiralling inflation and unrelenting demand for services such as social care’.
