Who’s there for the kids?

The closure of two important children’s charities raises questions about the voluntary sector and its relationship with local government, says Mark Whitehead.

The dramatic demise of Kids Company came as a shock to many, including, most importantly, the children who benefited from its services.

The doors were slammed shut amid claims of financial mismanagement, child abuse and nepotism.
