Delivering on priorities and transforming public services requires strong leadership – it also requires officers and politicians to be working as one.
That is why both our councils – Derbyshire CC and Norfolk CC – have replaced the traditional delivery model of having a chief executive or managing director with a new system where, as leaders of the council, we take on a much more corporate leadership role.
