A high-powered forum of independent experts has been appointed to help end the UK's digital divide. The new steering board, announced by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport last week, will develop a comprehensive plan to further the digital economy. Among the members are Dr Tanya Byron, Barry Cox of the Digital Radio Working Group, Andrew Gowers and Robin Foster from the Convergence Think Tank. Stephen Carter, communications minister, said: ‘Fully embracing a digital future is a must for any successful knowledge economy.'
