Local government has been urged to help build up local resilience to the effects of climate change, foster and invest in low-carbon technology and infrastructure, and prepare for green growth.
ADEPT's recommendations were unveiled among the initial findings from a major piece of research it is undertaking to identify how the sector can play its part in the move to a low carbon society.
