Work Programme participants who fail to land a job after spending two years in the coalition's flagship employment programme are to be targeted by specialist advisers.

Up to five staff will be allocated to Jobcentre Plus branches to work with long-term claimants, who would receive a report assessing their progress and needs, ministers have announced.
