Ahead of its time Maidstone BC has delivered its Gershon efficiency target, two years early. The council was set a target of £1.6m savings by 2007/8, but its annual efficiency statement for 2005/6 shows gains of £2.2m. Council leader, Cllr Eric Hotson, said he would be looking for more savings next year.
