RAF Uxbridge, a historic Second World War airbase will be redeveloped in a scheme which promises to create 1,300 full-time jobs.

RAF Uxbridge, a historic Second World War airbase will be redeveloped in a scheme which promises to create 1,300 full-time jobs and 270 construction jobs.

In converting the site's barracks and facilities into a redevelopment featuring 1,300 new homes, a 1,200-seat theatre, a hotel, school, shops and offices, the historic Battle of Britain bunker will be preserved and green belt land protected through its transformation into a park.
