Uttlesford DC has called on a planning inspector to report ‘uncomfortable home truths' to government ministers about expansion plans for Stansted Airport. ‘I have every confidence the inspector will take on board all the points made by the community at the inquiry when weighing up his recommendation to the secretaries of state,' said chairman of Uttlesford DC's development control committee, Cllr Jackie Cheetham.
