Medway Council has welcomed the Government's announcement that there would be no new airport in Kent.

‘This news will provide comfort for the people of Medway, whose homes and lives are already being affected by this hare-brained scheme,' said council leader, Cllr Rodney Chambers. ‘But we will not rest until [London mayor] Boris Johnson drops his madcap airport schemes for good.'
