Portsmouth, like many councils, is being forced into local government reorganisation (LGR). Unlike most others, we are already a unitary authority delivering strong services to our residents, and one that's fiscally sound.

LGR is supposed to get rid of two-tier councils and failing authorities – but Portsmouth City Council is neither.
