The South West Local Government Association (SWLGA) and Somerset CC have hit out at £42m of cuts by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA). SWLGA and Somerset have major concerns over DEFRA's mismanagement of payments to South West farmers and have passed a resolution calling for an urgent meeting with the minister to voice their concerns.
