Arena under way

The redevelopment of the Leeds Arena took a step closer to reality yesterday (Wednesday), after city councillors voted on design and cost plans.

The redevelopment of the Leeds Arena took a step closer to reality yesterday (Wednesday), after city councillors voted on design and cost plans.

Executive member for city development, Cllr Richard Lewis, said building work was expected to start next year. The new Leeds Arena is expected to bring one million visitors to the city each year and generate 330 new jobs.
