The London Thames Gateway Development Corporation (LTGDC) is to transfer £34m of assets to the mayor of London's new housing and regeneration body, later this year.

As part of Whitehall's ongoing restructuring plans, the LTGDC will transfer development assets and staff to the new Mayoral Development Corporation (MDC) and the Greater London Authority, from April. It will also transfer planning responsibilities for the Lower Lea Valley to the MDC and relevant local authorities, from October.
