Oldham MBC is poised to become the first local authority in Greater Manchester to launch a mortgage scheme to help first-time buyers on to the property ladder.

Subject to cabinet approval on 27 February, the ‘Oldham Mortgage' scheme will help first-time buyers in the area who face deposits of up to 25%.
