This is an outstanding opportunity to build on your experience and professional expertise as a seasoned lawyer. You will head up the legal work supporting the commercial contract, property, procurement, planning and highways related activity of a major local authority. Reporting to the Borough Secretary and Solicitor you will oversee the work of your team and contribute directly to the management of Barnsley Legal Services. You will in particular be expected to play a leading role in major corporate and commercial transactions drawing on your previous experience whilst supporting the work of other lawyers within the team in this and other areas of the team's overall responsibility. A background in local authority legal work would particularly advantageous.
