Assistant Director – Children's Services

£80,366 pa – rising to £89,295 pa

You will lead our team of professionals managing our support services to Children and families. This is a pivotal role in the organisations leadership team, ensuring that high quality support and interventions are provided to support our community, placing residents, children, young people and families at the heart of what we are looking to achieve. Building on a platform of recognised positive performance we are seeking an aspiring individual who will be able to lead and motivate the Children's Services team, bringing innovative thinking, creativity, passion and commitment to the role. This is a real opportunity to develop sustainable solutions for all our service users and their families.

You will lead, motivate and performance manage social services teams and develop, implement and co-ordinate policies/plans that meet the needs of our residents. You'll be committed to working in partnership to achieve high quality social services and have a first class knowledge of emerging statutory or regulatory requirements. Strategic in your thinking and politically aware, you will have outstanding leadership and partnership building skills, together with the ability to work effectively with elected members. You will also have an understanding of the needs and challenges presented by communities in a deprived area.

You'll need to hold a recognised and relevant professional qualification and most of all need to care passionately about the services that we deliver.
