Assistant Director – Children's Social Care - Walsall Council

Assistant Director – Children’s Social Care - Walsall Council

Building futures, transforming lives

In Walsall, we're working across our partnership to change children's lives and life chances. Like you, we're committed to making sure children are safe, healthy and happy. That's why we're working hard to make our Children's Services the very best they can be. We're looking for the leadership premium you can add so that, together, we can ensure that every child has a better today and a brighter future.

As Assistant Director of Children's Social Care, you will be instrumental in giving children a better start in life. You will improve outcomes for our young people by overseeing a range of high quality services, via in-house and commissioned teams. We will look to you to head up crucial areas including support to Children in Need; Children in Need of Protection; Looked After Children; Children with Disabilities and Children with Special Educational Needs – a challenge that involves working closely with other services and agencies across the partnership. The aim is to make every child's journey from needing to receiving help as swift and smooth as possible. With your professional qualifications and successful track record in CS management, you will already have the values, skills and practice wisdom that it takes. Now you're ready and motivated to build on, extend and use your knowledge, determination and ambition to change the lives and life-chances of Walsall's children and young people, and to add value to our partnership: better together for children.
