Assistant Director for Learning and Skills

Kirklees Council is looking for an inspiring assistant director for learning and skills, following a recent promotion.

Kirklees is superbly located and has strong manufacturing roots. The council has clear ambitions to sustain and grow the local economy. Strengthening the connection between learning and skills development - for all ages - is critical for achieving this.

Your job will be to turn this ambition into reality. You will devise a strategy and make it happen, and with strong support from others you will make a real impact.

You will build upon the good working relationships with all schools in Kirklees, and strengthen existing partnerships that help to drive up achievement and employment.

Accountable to both the director for children and adults and the director for economy, skills and environment, you will join a lively senior team in a council which is determined to make a difference.
