Two senior local government posts have been announced this week. Reigate and Banstead BC confirmed that John Jory, chief executive of Mid Sussex DC, has been offered its top job, subject to the council's formal approval. His appointment follows the retirement of Nigel Clifford. Mr Jory has previously held posts at Bexley LBC, Richmond RLBC, St Albans City and DC, Reading BC and Surrey CC. Council leader Joan Spiers said: ‘We eagerly anticipate him joining us and helping develop a new style council for the future.' It was also confirmed that Tom Morgan is taking over from Byron Davies as chief executive at Cardiff City Council.
