A Birmingham city councillor has called for the local authority to sell its stake in the National Exhibition Centre.

A Birmingham city councillor has called for the local authority to sell its stake in the National Exhibition Centre and cut the amount it pays to contractors.

Cllr John Clancy, who is challenging Sir Albert Bore for leadership of Birmingham's Labour group, said the local authority should sell off some of its assets and invest the money in creating homes and jobs.
