A Peterborough man who owed the city council £13,155.64 in council tax, business rates and recovery costs has now paid off the debt in full to avoid bankruptcy proceedings being taken against him. The resident owed £7,875.83 in council tax dating back to 1996 as well as £4,281.41 in business rates and a total of £998.40 in costs because the bills were not paid on time.
