TV presenter, Andrew Marr , is to host The MJ Local Government Achievement Awards gala dinner at the prestigious Hilton Hotel, Park Lane on 28 June. Mr Marr will announce winners from the finalists who will be attending the gala awards night. A former newspaper reporter, Mr Marr edited The Independent newspaper and was BBC political editor from 2000-2005. He currently presents the BBC's Sunday morning flagship news programme, Sunday AM, as well as hosting Radio 4's Start The Week. Entries are rolling in for The MJ Awards, which has 15 categories and a closing date of 19 January.
