Beacon to others Newham LBC has been awarded Beacon status for the way it uses culture and sport to engage with hard-to-reach groups. The authority hosted a ‘learning and sharing’ event this week, which was attended by culture minister, David Lammy, for officers from other councils about how it got the status.
