Embattled Leicestershire CC leader, Cllr David Parsons, is facing a confidence vote, sparked by fears the ongoing row into his expenses is harming the authority's reputation.
An extraordinary meeting of the county council scheduled for 18 April will consider a motion calling for Cllr Parsons' removal from office, citing ‘recent revelations in the local media regarding the cost of the leader's activities, and the consequential impact on the reputation of the authority as a whole'.
