Burnley BC has spearheaded an initiative which will save the authority more than £22,000 in upgrading IT equipment over the next two years. The council has joined the e-auction, run by the Office of Government Commerce, to purchase desktop PCs and laptops with other local authorities as a collective, and benefiting from economies of scale.
