Refuse contractor, Biffa, has given a ‘muted' welcome to the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs' recent waste review.
Biffa's municipal development officer, Pete Dickson, said: ‘We're delighted that rumours of the Government enforcing a return to weekly collections are just that – rumours.' He added: ‘We need to see the fine detail behind some of the reviews initiatives before we can give it a thumbs-up – or a thumbs-down'.
